The unique aspect of "Evenicle" is how it entices you with charm and innocence, almost lulling you into forgetting you’re playing an adult title, all while your inner child is slowly crushed with each cutscene. To give you a clearer picture, the protagonist is a rather typical, nondescript guy with an average build and an exaggeratedly large endowment, who dreams of conquering virginity. He has two sisters who appear underage, and disturbingly, his life goal revolves around them. He’s designed to be likeable yet ultimately forgettable. The game avoids the cliché of a school setting, which is a relief, but it still falls into many other tired tropes. The world of "Evenicle," created by a supposedly benevolent goddess, operates under bizarre and draconian rules about sexuality. Engaging in extramarital relations leads to severe curses that mark individuals as "sluts," making their lives miserable and socially ostracized. Even if a woman is assaulted, the game still deems it as cheating, resulting in her being forever shunned. Despite these heavy themes, the gameplay itself is a turn-based JRPG that’s better than many but still not up to par with top-tier titles like Final Fantasy. The visuals are appealing, and while the adult content is uncensored and diverse, it’s certainly not for everyone. Overall, if you’re not into JRPGs with explicit content and graphic scenes, this game might not be your cup of tea.
